Job Posting: Performing Arts Educator

John Paul II Catholic High School in Greenville, NC seeks a dynamic, engaging educator to lead and grow our performing arts department. We are looking for someone who is passionate about:

• developing positive relationships with students to ensure they feel seen, loved, and heard; and
• fostering an environment that builds students’ confidence, empowering them to express themselves through music and theatre.

This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Job Functions

• Teach theatre courses
• Access and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
• Classroom management
• Lesson planning
• Collaborate with other teachers and parents
• Participate in regular meetings
• Produce fall and spring productions (past shows have included murder mystery dinner theatre, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales)
• Faculty liaison for Improv Club

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or content area
• NC Teaching License
• Successful completion of background check

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with high school students
