Our spirit rock is a great way to celebrate birthdays, show your school spirit, or congratulate students for their accomplishments! Please use the link on the school website to reserve your week. The money raised from the spirit rock will be used to fund general academic needs.
Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and should be paid for at the time of reservation using the form on this page. The weekly fee is $25; if payment is not received, your reservation will be canceled.
Reservations are from Sunday to Saturday – weekly.
On the payment form please share your plans/ideas for the design of your painting (birthday, conference champs, etc.).
The painting should be in good taste and should not contain profanity, discriminatory remarks, obscenities, bullying, political innuendo, or drug-related depictions. Paintings must be in good spirit and in accordance with the John Paul II Catholic High School Code of Conduct.
The rock may not be painted during school hours. You may begin painting the rock at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to your reserved week. Your reservation will expire at 3:00 p.m. on your reserved Sunday if you have not painted the spirit rock for your reserved week.
All supplies and materials needed are your responsibility. Please remove all trash and supplies as you leave. You are responsible for any damage that you cause to the surrounding area when painting.
With the exception of painting, the physical condition of the rock is not to be altered in any way that will change its shape, size, or orientation.
No refunds will be given. If you cannot paint due to bad weather, you may reschedule your reservation for another open week.
JPII reserves the right to paint over anything deemed inappropriate.
Want to reserve the rock but don’t want to paint it yourself? You may want to consider contacting JPII student DeeDee Koesters!
