In the Gospels, Christ identifies himself with the poor and suffering. He commands us to love others as we love ourselves. Students show their understanding of these Gospel teachings through their service to the community. There are many service opportunities for students throughout the year, and oftentimes students develop service opportunities in which they are interested. Some of these opportunities include:
National Honor Society teaches students that a spirit of stewardship best bolsters strong academic pursuits. Students in National Honor Society are required to seek out their own service opportunities and log a specific number of hours of service each and every year. These service opportunities are approved by the National Honor Society Council, and students hand in logs of their service time to ensure that they are committed to giving back in a meaningful way.
Many of our extracurricular activities are rooted in service opportunities. The focus of which is serving our local community to create an immediate and noticeable impact in the Greenville area.
