The goal of the advanced fitness course is to teach and encourage physical health and wellness while also giving students an opportunity to build their social and leadership skills. We will focus on educating the students physically through sport, dance, lifetime activity, etc., while also giving students a chance to research topics like these and present their findings to their peers. These students will lead the freshman students during activities as well.
The goal of this required physical education and health course is to teach students how to live a healthy, active lifestyle and why this is so important. We will focus on educating the students physically through sport, dance, lifetime activity, etc., while also focusing in the classroom on fitness, nutrition, stress/time management, and abuse of drugs, alcohol, and smoking. Combining physical movement with a cognitive focus on health and wellness will allow students to improve and develop as a whole person.
